Family-friendly Activities

12-5:30-Festival Grounds Malcolm X

Kidz Zone / Family Activities, Educational / Community Info, Free Health Screenings, Vaccine Station, Local Artists / Musicians, Food & Beverage Vendors Available ($$) Each attendee including children must have a Day Pass accessible (physical or electronic) at entrance for check-in. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All guests inside the fenced in festival grounds will depart the area by 5:30pm. Those staying for the Concert will need to re-enter and show their paid ticket for admission. VIP ticket holders may re-enter at 6:00pm and general admission at 6:30pm. See FAQ.

Willie Barney with the Empowerment Network Kicks Off The Festival with the Mount Calvary Marching Band

Kick off the Festival with lively music by Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Follow the Main Stage activities all afternoon as Willie Barney with the Empowerment Network hosts the day's festivities.

The Amazing Bubble Show

The Omaha Children's Museum will present its Amazing Bubble Show.

Will Brown Memorial Presentation

Join Gerald Kuhn, with the City of Omaha's Human Rights & Relations Department.

Bike & Helmet Raffle

1:00-Kidz Zone Kidz Zone Stage

Houston Alexander, MMA fighter from North Omaha, will give away 10 bikes with helmets at the top of every hour to a child under 16 years of age present at the festival. Free raffle tickets will be provided to each child's parent upon entry. Thank you to the Black Police Officers Association for donating the bikes and to Union Pacific for providing WE ARE ONE safety helmets. (1 bike/helmet winner per child, parent will be notified via cell phone number provided upon entry on raffle ticket, pick up immediately upon winning)

Concert

7pm-midnight Malcolm X Outdoor Amphitheater

Live Entertainment from National & Local Recording Artists to include: Juvenile, Michel'le, Enjoli & Timeless, Keeshea Pratt Band. Bankster, MC. DJ Chain, Concert DJ. Each attendee including children must have a Purchased Concert Ticket accessible (physical or electronic) at entrance for check-in. No tickets will be sold at the festival. VIP ticket holders may re-enter at 6:00pm and general admission at 6:30pm. Children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. See FAQ.
